Bachelor´s Degree of Engineering (Chemical Metallurgical Engineering), from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

From 1977 to 1993, he worked in the metal-mechanic industry as a Process Engineer and Product Engineer, specifically in the powder metallurgy area. He has several courses for Statistical Process Control Operators.

From 1993 to 2012, he worked in one of the 5 biggest Industrial Property firms in Mexico, focusing his practice on the performance of diverse activities, such as conducting patent searches to determine prior art; technical analysis of patentability and/or patent invasion and/or technological surveillance; drafting and filing of patent and utility model applications both in Mexico and abroad, through the Paris Convention or the PCT, as well as industrial design registration applications; study and resolution of technical and/or formal objections issued by the authorities in the field. Diploma in Management Skills, as well as several courses and seminars specialized in Industrial Property and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

Former member of diverse associations, such as AMPPI (Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property); LES Mexico (Licensing Executives Society); IMIQ (Mexican Institute of Chemical Engineers) where he actively collaborated in the Mexico-Central Section occupying various positions, such as Director of Liaison with Government Institutions, Treasurer, among others, as well as being part of the Technical Committee for the Protection of Intellectual Property; Mexican Pharmaceutical Association (AFM) where he was Director of Liaison with the Pharmaceutical Industry in 2010-2011; for several years he was part of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Association of Packaging and Packaging, A. C. (amee) as Director of Industrial Property, in addition he was part of the faculty that teaches the diploma course at the Association; he also participated for several years in the Legal Affairs and Industrial Property Committees of the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Research Industries (AMIIF). Likewise, he also participated in several forums related to Industrial Property matters, both nationally and internationally, and has published several articles on these topics in specialized international publications.
