Fernando Garzón

Senior Lawyer

Graduated in Law from UNAM 1991-1995.

Specialization in Foreign Trade in the Graduate Studies Division of the Law School at UNAM. At the Autonomous University of Baja California (Mexicali campus) he studied the Diploma in Tax and Customs Law and at the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (Culiacán campus) in collaboration with the Supreme Court, he studied the Diploma in Tax Law. He also completed a Master’s degree in “Corporate Law”, having awarded him with the degree “magna cum laude” distinction for his academic performance.

He has collaborated in the Public administration and Private sectors in the Financial-Corporate, Labor, Constitutional, Fiscal, Customs, Foreign Trade and Amparo areas.

Within the public sector he worked in the Securities and Savings Banking Unit of the SHCP, as Director of Financial Analysis and Monitoring, with special emphasis on the Popular Savings and Credit sector; in the IMSS, he collaborated in the Labor Coordination, as Head of Amparos. In the SAT, he worked in the Sub-Administration of Procedures and Legal Affairs in the Customs of Mexicali, Baja California and Colombia, Nuevo León.

Fernando Garzón Abreu currently serves as associated in litigation practice at the CG&A, Legal y Asuntos Públicos.

He has published the articles “Las Nuevas Facultades de la Policía Federal en Materia Aduanera”, “El Cumplimiento de las Ejecutorias de Amparo” and “El Amparo Vía Electrónica”.
